Plate Shoes are recommended, however there are others ways to protect your feet, steel tow work shoes are just one way. All black or Black with White are recommended.  Example plate shoe HERE

Base or Field shoes- Choices are a very personal preference, each manufacture makes many different shoes, main thing is they are comfortable to you and are black in color (many have different accents but white is the standard). Field shoe example HERE.

Hats- (A combo hat will be provided to all MALBUA members in good standing) Several options of hats, in general umpires will have a plate hat and a base hat, but there are options for combo hats as well. MALBUA does not have a standard logo hat as of yet. (coming in the future) American Legion has a standard hat you can purchase HERE and many are finding that the hats used in the Southern district are very comfortable, light and nice looking.
